First off if you use Facebook LIVE shopping… guess what? They don’t care about small businesses that use that to make a living and come October 1st… it will be taken off Facebook.
They are also disabling business pages with no reason why. Many businesses are feeling shut out from Facebook lately as they are switching gears and trying to become Tiktok.

Facebook has also disabled Ad accounts for businesses and agencies with NO REAL reason given.

Instagram is a complete mess with them making EVERY post into a Reel and them trying to compete daily with Tiktok. They even changed the Algorithm which has hurt MANY content creators and businesses alike.

Instagram head Mosseri, confirmed that the app will be testing 9:16 photos.

“You can have tall videos, but you cannot have tall photos on Instagram,” Mosseri says. “So we thought maybe we should make sure that we treat both equally”  – which is funny to me because earlier in the year he claimed that IG was, “no longer a photo sharing app,” and many photographers and artists got off IG because of this.

If you haven’t heard by now, The App, BeReal is where most went from IG as it’s being heralded as the photo app that could soon dethrone Instagram. But to reduce BeReal’s popularity to an Instagram replacement is to miss the whole point of why it’s growing so quickly. It’s not the act of sharing a photo that’s important; it’s the synchronicity and the fact it’s largely private. With BeReal, you get a push alert at a certain time of day — it’s random and it varies — and you’re given a short time frame of two minutes to take a photo with both of your phone’s cameras simultaneously. The app locks others’ BeReal posts behind a wall until you take that day’s photo, so you can’t aimlessly scroll without also participating.

Tiktok is where all the video creators have shifted towards, since the app is free from “drama” that IG creates. TikTok has a much diverse selection of music and lots of effects, stickers, filters and sound effects. In fact, TikTok has more built-in video editing tools than what Instagram offers with Reels.

Also, if you are a content creator, your best bet to make money is on Pinterest… not IG. ( more on that next post)
