In today’s business world, the one thing that is true about all businesses, is the fact that social media is allowing businesses to:
1- directly connect with a large potential customer base
2- build brand awareness
3-foster customer engagement
4- drive traffic to their website
5- generate leads
6- increase sales by promoting their products and services through various platform
The sad thing that I have seen on every platform are small businesses and entrepreneurs calling out friends, colleagues and family members to support them.
The truth is this: It takes $0 to like, comment, and share a post and that in itself is the best thing anyone can do for a small business or entrepreneur.
Instagram now measures a post by how many likes and views it gets.
Facebook is starting to do the same thing.
Tiktok does the same thing.
And so forth…
In order for posts to get to the important audience, it needs to go through certain criteria.
1- Engagement ( this is the likes, comments and shares)
Meaning content with lots of likes, comments, and shares is more likely to appear in users’ feeds.
The other factors are impressions, reach, follower growth, etc.
When you share a post, it reaches not only your followers but also their networks, potentially exposing your content to a much larger audience. When people share your content, it often leads to more likes, comments, and discussions, which increases engagement on your posts. This is why sharing posts of small businesses is so important.
In closing, if you KNOW small business owners then help them out by sharing posts, liking posts, and commenting.
Facebook is starting to do the same thing.
Tiktok does the same thing.
And so forth…
Meaning content with lots of likes, comments, and shares is more likely to appear in users’ feeds.
