If you haven’t been on social media for awhile and decided to take a break, here’s what changes are coming to the platforms.

For businesses and entrepreneurs who started making masks, Facebook is allowing you to now do Ads.  Now the ban will only apply to medical-grade masks, or ads that make dubious claims about certain masks offering protection from the virus to profit from the pandemic.

Instagram has added the DM sticker for businesses to use in stories. This sticker allows you to encourage your viewers to send you an Instagram direct message, rather than directly replying to your Stories posts.

Instead of working on developing an edit button, Twitter is working on developing and testing reactions in Tweets, which would expand the hearts you already have on there to a range of other options. Similar to how Facebook has theirs set up for each post.

Influencer Marketing is peaking right now in 2020, and by 2025 will be about 86% of how all companies market their businesses on social media. Businesses are making  $6.50 for every $1 spent on influencer marketing, according to a poll of marketing professionals . The poll also found that marketers rate influencer marketing as their fastest-growing online customer-acquisition channel, outpacing organic search and email marketing.

Blogs and Facebook are by far the most effective outlets for influencer marketing, dwarfing YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter. 37% said blogs were their most effective platform, and 25% said Facebook. If you don’t focus much on either, these results suggest you should give them both a try.

Influencer marketing is quickly becoming one of the most important online marketing channels. Budgets are growing fast, and marketers are seeing strong returns. The vast majority of marketers are generating real revenue from influencer marketing, and the top 13% are making $20 or more for each $1 invested. With returns like this, budgets will keep increasing for the foreseeable future.
